Syntax Technologies is looking for a Project Manager at its Chantilly, Virginia location. This position will provide leadership and strategic planning, execution, and assessment for continuous improvement at Syntax for the CEO and the COO. The successful candidate will work under broad administrative direction and have significant responsibility in planning, organizing, and managing services for the company.
As a Project Manager for Syntax Technologies, you will work closely with our partners and internal team to develop and manage our on-demand education programming with a focus on scaling processes to support the program creation lifecycle - pre-production, production, post, and delivery. This role requires the ability to juggle multiple partners and programs through different phases of development simultaneously.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serving as the Company’s lead for administrative affairs manages, plans and oversees all administrative operations of Syntax Technologies. Administrative services include: facilities, contracts and grants, budgetary financial management, front office management, and human resources and the systems that support those functions and services.
Develop long-range plans, strategies, and annual reports; maintain information and records; and provide expertise, analysis and interpretation of studies and data to assist the CEO and the COO in developing and establishing appropriate company policies and procedures for administrative affairs.
Directs and coordinates financial planning and resource allocation for the company’s operating budget. Manage individual program PLs for platform programs and deliver on individual program revenue targets
Works closely with the COO to help develop and coordinate Syntax’ annual training and operating budget planning process, forecasts and predicts resource requirements for new and existing programs, and develops funding strategies.
Establishes, monitors, evaluates, and modifies processes, strategic plans, procedures, and/or standards, ensuring alignment with Syntax’ mission, values, goals, and objectives, as well as all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Serves as a liaison to applicable external agencies, internal departments, and applicable educational institutions, representing Syntax with respect to student services processes and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Political Science, Computer Science, Finance or related
Entrepreneurial drive and comfort working in ambiguous, quickly changing environments
Instinctive project management acumen: attention to detail along with the ability to keep the big picture in perspective
Strong time management and organizational skills
Proven ability to manage multiple demands successfully and within a matrixed organization
Ability to drive project plan management, deployment and adoption along with a detailed project schedule
Strong relationship skills with a track record of positively collaborating, influencing, and extensively coordinating with internal and external partners.
Knowledge of various project management tools, methodologies, and best practices
Prior experience and comfort managing a budget across channels while achieving high volume growth targets
Strong sense of customer
Excellent communication skills
Problem-solving skills
Proficiency is Microsoft office, G-Suite and Project Management tools
Prior experience in the education industry a plus
